It has been raining all day and the work is done. Time to listen to my favourite album, really loud. Getting this 43-year old pressing was a risk due to the cost, but has been worth every cent.
Friday afternoon and the working week is all but over. Dvořák and Brahms together on one LP. Academic Festival Overture sounds wonderful. Pressed in the late-60s, there is not a pop or tick to be heard.
Friday evening and what better way to spend it than listening to this wonderful album, among others. Beethoven was not only a great pianist but also studied the violin. It does not matter that this is a digital recording. The pressing is superb.
Looks like in a whole week I have been the only one to enjoy some music. On this special Good Friday something really toned down and mellow is the way to go. This recording was done years ago, somewhere in the late 50s early 60s. Awesome rendition of Chopin's music.
Baroque is great morning music, especially the instrumental concerti. I've been listening to Telemann Tafelmusik Vol 2. You have a lovely turntable and stand. Is it a CD player underneath the turntable?
