Good day

I have these speaker now for many years and they continue to impress us.
They are still in the raw state but we need to get them finished.

We would like to get them spraypainted

This how they are currently looking like

Any advice or who can give me an estimate will be appreciated.

Any panel beater should be able to assist, but if they were mine I would look at getting them stained to a darker colour. I just love purer wood finishes!

I guess they are scared they might damage the drivers. Of course, you could remove the drivers & crossover yourself before handing the cabinets over to anybody to do so.

Why not get advice from one of the paint shops in town, they might have some spray cans with a suitable paint that works for DIYers? Our local Kwalta guys are quite helpful.

I have over the last 2 years asked 3 different panel beating shops in my area if they would paint metal amplifier chassis for me, and they have all said no. Absolutely not interested in such "small jobs". So now I mainly have then powder coated, but the lack of colour choices (in my area) is somewhat limiting.

(not suggesting you powder coat your speakers :-) but agreeing on the panel shop issues).

We did think of going that route, but the boxes does need quite a bit of attention to making it flat and fill in all imperfections.
That is why we thought of painting them. I know it will never be production finish but at least it must look great and last.
I also when they area done need to make a plinth for it (Hope it is the correct wording).
I do not want to add the feet I had made many years ago direct on the box, it 16mm mdf.

Thanks for everyone's suggestions so far.

Get it wrapped.

I have a friend who got into doing that which is why I think it would probably work for speakers. You could probably even do it yourself, I reckon.
