Hi, I am a new MS user and the problem I have is that the arm lowers and raises very quickly onto and from the record, despite the action being supposed to be "oil/silicone?" damped. Any experience or knowledge with solving the OBVIOUS cause which is most likely absence of (sufficient) damping fluid ?

Problem solved: The person I bought the TT from is a Micro Seiki "book of knowledge and experience" and will solve/ refill the oil "tank".
Thanks for your advice and support.
With the HiFi /Vinyl engine not available anymore for new applications it is a schlepp to look around for any service -or user- manuals of lesser known or more rare HIFI stuff.

....and it is true:
I am 80 years old and since 2016 I have embarked on significantly new (for me at least) journeys......I remarried and I changed my turntable of 40 years (Rega) to a Micro Seiki and both journeys have renewed my soul andmy lust for life (...and HiFi)
